Work is substantially complete on the replacement of four bridges along LA 160 in Webster Parish, and the roadway is open to traffic. The $9.4 million project included the replacement of the bridge over Dorcheat Bayou, along with three other bridges in close proximity on LA 160. November 2025

Progress continues on LA 3227 at the intersection of LA 157 in Bossier Parish. Crews are working on constructing the new section of roadway, implementing drainage improvements and relocating the existing traffic signal to the new intersection. November 2025

The LA 30 roundabout at South St. Landry Avenue in Ascension Parish is operational, with one lane of traffic flowing through. Motorists on LA 30 can now directly access both South St. Landry Avenue and Robert Wilson Road from this roundabout. October 2025

Progress continues on the $361 million project to build a new Jimmie Davis Bridge over the Red River in Bossier and Caddo parishes. Crews are installing the drilled shafts which are designed to support significant loads of traffic over the bridge. October 2025

Crews overlay nearly 7 miles of LA 9 northeast of Campti in Natchitoches Parish. Paving operations are underway on the $7 million project, with all work anticipated to wrap up in spring 2026, weather permitting. October 2025

A 7.5-mile section of LA 562 east of Wisner receives a fresh layer of asphalt paving from US 425 to River Road in Franklin Parish. October 2025

Secretary Ledet meets with officials at the Richland Parish Data Center. Infrastructure contributes greatly to economic development and DOTD is working closely with Meta to address the new facility’s needs. September 2025

Crews continue improvement work on a seven-mile stretch of LA 1143 in Cameron Parish. Work on this $4.19 million project is expected to wrap up by the fall of 2025, weather permitting. September 2025

DOTD crews in Caddo Parish worked to remove an old corrugated metal cross drain pipe under LA 511 in Shreveport, and replace with a new high-performance polypropylene pipe that will provide adequate drainage while ensuring the integrity of the roadway. September 2025

Nighttime paving operations are underway on LA 928 in Ascension Parish. This includes about 6 miles of roadway improvements and raising the roadway at the S curve with extended box culverts to help reduce future flooding risks. September 2025

Bossier Parish - DOTD maintenance crews bump grinding a section of LA 164. This method helps smooth the driving surface and improves the ride quality of the roadway. October 2025
